hi i'm new.
I went to the EV and left this year after my GCSEs so as you can tell i have experinced what happened there and i am still roughly up 2 date with current affairs there.
any questions about the EV i'll try an answer them
i decided to do this once i left as there would be no reprucutions for me as i don't need to go back there.
don't get me wrong some maybe most of the teachers that i know are great but the way the EV is run and how it copes with its problems aren't.
An example of this as mentioned previously in another topic is the fact there is a balcony above the dining area were on a regular basis people went up there leaned over an spat in peoples food and what did they do to stop it while i was there NOTHING about it. The so called eating place was a corridor called the street with hardly eneogh tables for people to eat so usually most of had to satnd around and eat our lunch cos there weren't enough tables (while making sure we didn't get any suprises from the Balcony).
AN example of the build quality in the EV was the Platerboard walls which someone fell through how did they fix that hole they but a billboarfd over it so people couldn't see it (and to save money i think)
The EV was supposed to bring about equality but in my opinion it never seemed to the Village Green ( the EV's news letter) always seemed to promote the good things that ahppened in th SN sectionand the Primary section very rarely promoting the secondary part of the village. as well as that they always seemed to be rewarding the idiots the trouble makers more than those who worked hard.
i don't think i have eneogh time at the moment to type everything i could and would like to but as i said B4 if u got any questions about the EV i'll try and answer them as best as i can (you can ask me any thing about it eg ,the fire alarms, the bad GCSE reults if you despertaly want to etc etc) _________________ nil illegitema tu carberandum (never let the bastards grind you down)

Welcome Ghost 13
I am sure many people will have questions to ask you.
Here's mine, why is it Dela & Poison are getting away with child abuse under the very noses of DBC?
I think it unfair to say it's just because they are women, and unfair to other women in the workplace, I believe its a power thing!
I know child services is aware of both of their actions, so why is nothing ever done? _________________ TIME FLIES. |

hey its me again its been a while since i've been on but i've decided to create a catalogue of events and complaints at the EV that i can remember in one or more comments (so it may take me a while)
what i can rmember of the 1st full day at the EV was the lunch period which they cocked up well and truly. i know many of you have heard this before about most of us waitin for over an hour to eat but you may not have known that it was beacuase the scholarest staff that were in charge of our lunches came in and were NOT trained (no joke) to use any of the catering equipment so they had to learn on that day. the second problem was that the school had no idea how to organise it no one knew where we had to que up and when we were supposeed to que up so when i did find the que i got told that my year was going to be last and that we would be shouted when it was out turn and to leave the que. they never actually shouted for our year we just attached ourselves to the back of the que when we thouyght there were no more years. _________________ nil illegitema tu carberandum (never let the bastards grind you down) |

don't worry brian i will tell all i know
right lets see... what next... a broken promise (this aint serious it just a point to show that Dela Smith had a grudge for some reason against music), the music block was told that it would be sound proof and that it would have a small recording studio when we moved into the EV. Guess what we never got those things at all which apparently according to a music friend caused some problems later on when Dela Smith was in charge. How you ask. well her office was directly under the music block and since it wasn't sound proof the music could reach her office and she didn't like that apparently she complained about the noise coming from the music block (she obviously has bad taste in music lol) during lessons and on a lunch time. i also got told by my music friend that one lunch time before the choir rehersal began that she sent a head of year up to complain on her behalf (lazy or cowardly you decide) about the noise coming from the music block, but when he got there he couldn't hear any thing throuyght the door let alone through the floor and apprently went back down to tell her there was no noise. Apparently she still complained after that so did she move her office? no. did the music block got sound proofed?no so i still belive there is still feud going on now (don't know 4 certain i may find out from a mate)
more truth about the EV later keep an eye on this space an i'm still open to quetsions _________________ nil illegitema tu carberandum (never let the bastards grind you down) |

right what next? lets see... oh when Dela actualy became head of the whole school. whats the 1st thing she introduced? a shortened lunch thats what foem an hour she reduced ot to 40 mins which wasn't eneogh for any of the lunch time activities such as guitar club choir etc cos by the time the the memebers actually finished lunch they would only have abot 15mins or less to set up do what they do and then pack away. This reduced lunch went down with my year and Dela promised that she would listen to our complaints and take them on board. did she? well no one herd of her talking to any pupils about it what so ever and she kept the lunch at 40 mins until NOW. NOW lunch is only HALF AN HOUR _________________ nil illegitema tu carberandum (never let the bastards grind you down) |

Hi, I am a currenty year 11 student at the EV.
I was in the building this week when the wind has been really bad. The roof started to lift up, the walls were shaking and I really did think that the cardboard box of a school was going to fall down. it does show how badly the school has been built. |

hey diamond i'm gald 2 c i'm not the only one whos been/going there and sick of it.
right my next topic for disscussion is the common room. before the EV when we were in haughton year 11s had a common room which they could go in at lunch once we moved to the EV that changed when i reached year 11. the common room we had was when i was in yr 11 was for the STEWARDS who were basicly people who had to wander around the coridors at break and lunch stopping any trouble, which is the job of the lunch supervisers (who were paid to do that). not long aftre that (i think it was a term after that) they cahnged the stewards room into a class room for the class distrupters the ones who couldn't give a rats ass about learning. so the reward for the unpaid lunch supervisors the stewards turned into a classroom so there was no reward for the job. _________________ nil illegitema tu carberandum (never let the bastards grind you down) |

It seems fair to me that those who worked or did service to the school should be rewarded by having a common room - why should it have been for everyone?
From the plans though wasnt it always meant to be a science room? |
